206 air quality index (very unhealthy, stay indoors), a coastal flood warning – is the river shore a coast? Will the garage flood even though we’re on a hill? A steep hill I climb daily in the Mid-Atlantic humidity, and the only flood here is the wave of cold air streaming from the lobby when I pull open the glass door. It’s like leaving open the fridge door to cool your apartment while the motor heats up the cat hair-littered space below it where the kibble I dropped collects dust – I’m sure it’s a fire hazard like the lint in that strange hidden lint trap of the dryer in my last apartment. I should have told the new tenants about that because no one deserves damp clothes-
