Lightning lights the sky
thunder shakes the house
they scare the hell out
of my dog and cats
and wake my wife and I up
in the middle of the night
Pouring rain causes
flooding in the
rivers and lakes
and highways are closed
Ain’t no climate change here!
politicians say it’s a hoax
and they aren’t laughed
off the debate stage
scientists say it’s not a hoax
but some people instead listen
to know-nothing politicians
When will we wake up?
will we wake up?
