CALL DOWN THE STORM
C Ra McGuirt
Call down the storm, I want to wander
through gates of thunder
to the Keep of lightning
Are Sky-Gods born because I wonder?
It may be so—call down the storm!
We saw it coming from the East
Flickering fingers beckoning to me--
come share the consummation
of the passion of the sky
climb the clouds and catch the Storm God’s eye
Wild winds wail like Chaos armies
Lightning flies like Law’s reply
Neither one of them can harm me
I’ve made a bargain with the sky
Call down the storm, and drink the rain
taste the thunder, wash away the pain
let wind and water take you,
and bring you back reborn
don’t let stagnation break you—
Call the Storm!
