I’m standing on Hollywood Boulevard
with a hundred dollars
in change
in my pockets
but even the panhandlers
won’t give me
the time
of day.

I’ve got a script
that would win
an oscar
and the box office
but it’s got my name
on it
and nobody knows
my name.

and a big heart
and big arms
and shoulders
but I don’t have
a big smile
so the women
pass me by.

I’ve got a giant hope
and a giant faith
and a giant
view of the
horizon
but still
it doesn’t fill
my seeking eye.
