Eyes tired
Mind on meltdown
T.V. blaring
Lights too dim to read by
I find hotel rooms friendly
Unknown to who you really are
No familiar faces or pictures on the wall
An undesirable clunky bed
With the middle sunk in from previous one night stands
Funny how I sleep better here than in my own bed
These blank beige walls with their canvas texture and bland looks
Impress and inspire me
I must be crazy to be taken back by cheap tapestry and tattered carpet
To be inspired by used up avenues and trampled on hallways
Is by far an intangible feeling
Perhaps I am hallucinating
I am fooling myself to think that this better
Compared to my own one room living arrangement
Ha ha ha
It’s laughable isn’t it
You can’t help but crack a smile thinking about it can you?
Neither can I
