starving with
food in the cupboard
sometimes because
my stomach hurts
or my mouth is tired
or the food is
too far.

my body
is withering away,
1/3 of my body weight
kidnapped.

waffles
bananas
apples sauce
crackers
and
the occasional sandwich
keeps me from drying up.

marijuana helps
the stomach and the hunger
and sometimes
the mind
but
I think the prolonged use
is weighing on me
or maybe now
I’m just so light
I finally feel it.
