Slave Rebellion

Choose a needle,
Sharp, thin, long, and
Surreptitiously press it into the baby’s scalp.
Stifle the scream.
The sweet boy at your breast will grow up to
Rape your children.
Dab guiltily, fearfully at the blood
Smearing his blond curls
Amazed, shocked at the tender give of his skull
Stealthily closing around the tight metal promise.
Quiet rebellion.
Will he slowly turn into a ninny?
Whose cries would you rather hear?
There is less betrayal in the needle than when he forces your love to
turn to hatred.
Quell the love pouring from your breast.
