Under the Cherry Blossoms

Jenna Mary

I like to take walks when I’m drunk
in the shade of a specific cherry blossom
where I’d gotten so high
I fell asleep once
until sunrise.
You never found me,
pushing my name inside your mouth
like broken memories.
I’d met you a thousand times
in parks and sat next to
on carousel rides,
remembering the color
of someone else’s eyes
I loved,
fingering the black and blue
like special freckles
you were oblivious to
and he use to love.
