Michael Aspros

I chase the night’s curve, around the planet,
penniless, over paved terrain.
The mountains guide me with gradual slopes;
they know my journey is difficult.

I feel the truth in a chickadee’s chirp.
Shedding my egoic skins,
like Elm leaves,
they shed when you breeze by.
