The world outside my window is grimy
with fog dripping from tired trees.
The window has never been washed
and all the dirt is on the inside.

There is work to be done,
poems to write, books to read.
I sit at my supercomputer
and play solitaire.

Two flies are trapped in a web
woven by a weary spider.
I kneel before the telly
and worship the faded colors.
