Truth

Truth is never where it is supposed to be
there – a dribble at the end of an inadvertent sentence
here – a medicated half admission
it’s what others witness,
I’m here on standby

always socially inadequate
an inverted intention
bypassed by more than convenience
an etching on tossed glass

it separates your breastplate
cleanly, surgically
with a swiftness that leaves you
bleeding -
and you just plain don’t know it -
yet
