snipers in Afghanistan
or Iraq or pages about
a suburban murder
so gruesome and recent
you can still remember
the commercials shown
before & after its 30-second-
local evening news clip

But if the new Chevrolets have
digital seatback televisions
while a mega-pharmaceutical
company guarantees to make
your erection last longer

what is the name
of the family
that was only
three houses down
from yours before
it became another
half read and soon
forgotten book?
