Bicycling Mormons
like the Urim and Thummim
always in pairs
on a mission from God

All in black and white
they look just like chess pieces
bleached bright blouses
with ebony trousers

Helmets to match
footwear coordinated
even bike frames
and balloon tires like jet

Perhaps merely pawns
too youthful to be bishops
king above board
no tabernacle queens

A white squared dark knight
the bane of their existence
but on a bike
where do you put the dog?
