When the last star slips into the sea
gently, silently submerging
and returns, shining, to the surface

the music from the heavens
floats down and touches the star
merging into one, they become

the essence of what is
and always will be
Moonlit shimmering glints

dancing on the surface, light against darkness
performing their ritual
delighting in each other

the sea, dark with night’s enclosed deepness
thick, supporting drops of starlight
sends the music back up, into the clouds

reaching, seeking, finding home
at last, peace
embraced by you

It returns, to return again
surrounded by sweet tears
gentle strength, the dance continues

sparkling promises assured
filling space in flowing sprirals, points of light
set apart by space but yearning to confirm

each beginning, the beginning
never ending,
gliding, filling out

the form, it’s eyes to see
ears to hear the strains
breaking through, glistening

bathing starlight
He plays, it dreams
of reaching home

and you
