The rider on the bus
Fritz Hamilton
The rider on the bus has no
arms or legs/ his helping
person sits next to him &
talks to him like anybody
else/ he picks the trunk of a
man up when needbe & moves
him as he must/ the trunkless one
of necessity has total trust/ if the
helping person desired he could
strangle him or throw him off
the bus, but the helping person
fulfills his responsibilities & helps all
he can/ his effort makes the other a man/
they arrive at their stop, & the helper
puts his charge over his shoulder &
carries him off, which is when I
stop looking/ I’ve seen enuff/ I
can’t watch more/ I haven’t the stuff...
