The locust scratches

The locust scratches/ the locust
hatches/ beetles ravage the trees/ they
get in the bark until it falls off, &

the tree dies/ the locust
flies to another tree, &
they all turn black &

dead/ it only lasts a
few days & the
locust sleeps, but

another beetle creeps over the
bark & gets inside to do the
same till all the trees are dead, black &

brittle/ fuel for a fire that
finishes the job, &
Job sits upon the ashes complaining

assiduously to God, but
God, if everything, is this
destruction/ He’s accountable as

Job is accountable &
nothing is left

NOTHING!
