You are the bulb of spring
the crocus
in sleep
and I
the bee
in the tree
longing for
your nectar
Do you rest now
in fear
of the sun
the warmth
of its radiance
or push forward
breaking the crust
then
fall silent
to the morning
and open
brilliant with invitation
It is there
within the
carpels and stamens
I long to
bury my head
