Lies
They float around me
Moths circling a flame
Your lies
The words that came as truth
Only to be shattered by fact
Each one a trust broken
Until I am numb


I am empty
Searching for the myth
Of my other half
My happiness is one sided
Missing a piece
The circle broken
Reaching for completion


My brain doesn’t work
My heart is the enemy
Expectations, hopes, dreams
Dashed to the ground
Crushed into pieces
I am a dried of shell
Of spent emotion
A walking ghost of what once was.
