She remarked how handsome I looked,
how I hadn’t aged a bit since she saw me last,
then apologized for breaking it off that time
less than a week
before prom.

I didn’t have the heart
to tell her about the pin cushion doll
I crocheted into her mirror image afterwards,
except with her ass
three times its actual size.
