what matters
in our political universe
works unobserved,
it’s irresistible gravity
able to shatter
stellar bodies,
even to interdict
our brightest cultural lights.
Small wonder
media’s reportorial stars
obediently orbiting
these dark luminaries
prudently let them remain
unseen.
