Nerves shattered
Like a glass
That’s been dropped
And you find slivers
On the floor for weeks
Take a deep breath
Tell yourself
It will pass
But you don’t believe it
How can it
Creeping around in the corners
Of your mind
Playing with your emotions
Laughing like a demon
Delighting
In your despair
Shattered
Like a mirror
One that you can’t bear
To look in
Because you don’t want to see
The shattered remains
Of you
