In Tombstone, Arizona
close by the OK Corral,
gunfights are staged every day
replete with fake
good guys and desperados
and, of course,
their upshot’s
always the same.
It’s kind of like when
news anchors throw out issues
for a practiced panel
of hired wordslingers
to take potshots at
from all sides,
but not being straight shooters
they seldom wing reality
yet feign they’ve hit a bull’s eye
just the same.
