Call her Aurora
all her life
turning back daily from
suffering darkness
lighting air
warming earth
raising children up to light
her brother Sun
her sister Moon
mother grandmother
of love and mercy
gardener of kindness
planting, cultivating
her journey seeding hope
guiding those born
to seek her brother Sun
with her caution to
love but not to follow
her sister Moon’s
dark pathways
confusion misdirection
lost places where
she herself once languished
determined then
never to sink back
nor the children to fall
her life then
only light
yet never seeing
her own luminance
her goodness, her love
so obvious
to all the world
