since I don’t know when
been eating hotdogs
and buying fruit cake by the pound.

Stopped in this morning
bought three seashell salt shakers
and when I went outside
it seems my old Kia had died

I wait on the tow truck
to carry me away
to some auto mechanic
for whose work I cannot pay.

Forty years in Florida
and it’s come to this
I think I finally wrote a song
but the one singer I’d want
has recently retired.

Stuck in Stuckey’s
waiting on a tow truck
to take me away.
