I have theatrical moments
when I toss and turn in bed

with men aping Cirque du
Soleil poses. It’s a source

of entertainment. However.
I once wrote a book of love

poems purple as a field of
violets. Beauty ran across

the pages with excitement.
It stood enchanted by scenes

from my most epic affairs.
I sent the whole collection

to the copyright office for
prevention of theft by those

who like to copy mush
and claim it for their own.

I always wonder why they
steal when sugar is so cheap.
