Love?

Dylan Snyder

G Eazy has a song called “Love is Gone”
Implying that there was love before
The country has always been in some kind of war
The world has always been violent
It’s in the country’s name but we are not united
People are still dying for the color of their skin
During the Civil Rights movement, people protested and risked getting arrested
They were fighting for the rights that they should have had to begin with
After MLK, we got complacent
Until there’s a major incident
We only admit there’s an issue when Rodney King gets beat
We only admit when Trayvon Martin
We wouldn’t be as invested if this happened to a white kid
Innocent lives are lost and Trump’s solution is to ban all immigrants
You don’t get rid of all of the apples because a few are rotten
People are acting like society’s demise is only recent
We’ve had these issues way before Trump became president
It’s just we choose to ignore it
I want to shake my head at the Grammys when they were cheering for Clinton
A man that is clueless or a woman that is morally and politically corrupt, pick your poison
These politicians care more about their petty beefs then they do about the children
Democrats can you please just shut up?
All your complaining and moaning won’t get rid of Trump
If you hate Trump that much, you should have voted
I’m tired of people acting like we would have been better off with Clinton
With those two options, we were screwed regardless
