Tongue For Eve

The tree is laden,
fruit in abundance,
hanging ripe and juicy.
Had I hands to pluck,
I would strip it bare
to confound Him,
to defy
and dismay.

These creatures He loves,
gives them all,
but they too are not
to grasp, though they
have hands.

My tongue shall be my tool.
The forked end thrust
into her innocent ear,
honeyed words
shall ooze
and she
shall do my injury.
