My eyes saw things that my heart never wanted to
Now it’s hard to recognize good things
You might think it would be easier, but no
My eyes are afraid to really look again
So I apologize to the good things my eyes overlook now
I curse the memories that form a film around my pillow
As I scream at imaginary episodes in the night
I rummage through wreckage, try to salvage pieces of my heart and rebuild a soul
I accept that no one will help, but don’t you dare get in my way
Help is welcomed and I offer my help to all in return
I have a heart big enough to love this entire world, but the brains to trust no one
You should know my arms are open, but my hands are balled
