softener.
Tumbling dryer,
twisted shirt,
pants inside out,
missing sock again.
Sorting,
smoothing,
folding,
tangled hangers
fighting back.
Machine
to basket
to drawer.
Neat little stacks
arranged by type.
Today,
just like every other day
as tedium takes hold.
