and the three rivers
meet
hear her shoshoni

she was first claimed
by the red man
then the white
man
she left her legacy in
the footprints of

in her face america

a white man became her
husband
and she helped white men
discover the
west
in all colors
destiny is manifested
over mountains and
valleys
lay the american dream
lies in her face

her land is the land of
seas mountains and

america is a land where
dreams come true
as real as the golden dollars
in my pocket
bearing her face
like the rivers flowing
and the moutains resting high
