Life in Times of Corona
Sorry Poetry

Sorry, the poems are as dull as the crisis
like crises always are particularly this 1 once

Xanadu (Ofgabitofame)

Go outside to change my mood
reedit my text for final reading

Put on my gloves
fasten the mouth cap

Everything is indeed closed
but (able to) find some comfort

In front of railway station
in the evening sun

Desolated hardly any travelers
growing cold when night falls

Letters already print my mind
and give the relief sought for

Saving three coffees
and two tram rides

Back to basics
like spiritual retreat

Is that the moral
of the nationalist story

That closed borders
replaces animosity

By fear of touch and
feeling to close to others

Life ain’t that bad
provided that health

Will be surviving
chilly escape

Which one may never know now
for sure in these days of coro-na.
