is mine,
and she’s beautiful;
every curve and every scar

the mythology of these bones,
and the histories of my lives;
every inch of her is mine—

there is no shame in my voice,
my rainbow heart,
or my aspirations and dreams;

there is no shame in being me—

loathed myself for far too long,
and locked this beautiful frame in a
closet and told myself this body
wasn’t pretty enough to be viewed
for far too many moons;

i am done dancing with skeletons
and hating myself—

i am a goddess and i am beautiful.
