i’m done feeling ashamed of my body
may not be the skinniest nor the prettiest,
but she is mine;
every scar and every curve and inch
has been there for me and has housed my soul
which is not a feat any other body has done
for me—

i am a goddess
full of love, light, and magic;
i won’t let anyone silence my voice or take
away my powers
just because they cannot appreciate
my worth

i wasn’t put on this earth for anyone’s entertainment
or instant gratification—

my dreams, my hopes, my aspirations are the things
i live for and i will keep pushing no matter what
because i am worth it;

and my body is too—

don’t need anyone telling me that i am not thin because
thin doesn’t necessarily mean healthy, and i’m rarely sick;
mind your own magic and stay in your own lane
because, darling, me and my body: we shine.
