In the 1950s super-patriotic
“Know-Nothings” thought
that their alleged “Lord
and Savior” Jesus Christ
would want other
human beings killed
because of their
nationality or
political beliefs

The phrase
“Kill a Commie for Christ”
was used, reflecting this view

This was, of course,
the same “Lord and
Savior” Jesus Christ
who told people to
“turn the other cheek”
I guess they missed
that Bible lesson

Now, 50 years later,
the descendants of
those Know-Nothings
are back and it’s
even worse

Now these ones tell us
that it’s even more
important to pack
into churches than
it is to be safe from
this awful virus

Even after people
have become
infected and died
the pressure continues
to “re-open the churches”

And some,
we don’t know how many,
will become infected
And some,
we don’t know how many,
will die
