From the office in your ivory tower
Making millions off the broken
The hurting
Off the suffering of “those people”
Well excuse me sir
That’s a nice ride
And I’m glad your children have a nice education
Doing God’s work
From the pulpit on Sunday
Maybe fire the maid on Monday
Eating filet mignon
Listening to some praise song
That drown out the cries of mothers
Not enough to eat
Do the sounds of their dying babies
Echo through the halls of your multi million dollar mansion?
Doing God’s work
Teaching right from wrong
And love
Mercy and grace for all
Except them
Then condemn for feeding the soul
Of some dirty baby you said didn’t even matter
Oh but I’m sorry
I forgot
You’re the one doing God’s work
