In the middle of
the Coronavirus
pandemic some
states never
locked down
and some came
late to the party

Worse!
when the
Lockdowns relaxed
Georgia allowed
massage parlors
tattoo parlors
barber shops
beauty parlors
to be the first
to open
bizarre!

When other
states relaxed
regulations
residents raced
to beaches
to the Lake
of the Ozarks
and took
masks off
and forgot
social
distancing

My state and
my town have
chief executives
that keep residents
advised of actions
necessary to slow
the spread and toll
of the awful virus

Bottom line
my state and town
saw the cases of
infections and deaths
go way down
while these other
states saw brand
new spikes

When the protests
began some
protestors
wore masks and
were careful
while others
were not

Pundit Gary Trudeau
author of Doonesbury
opined in a strip
that this could be
a new form of
evolution to
improve the species

Sounds very harsh
BUT
It could be right on
