Stop curling your words, I pleaded.
Why should I unravel his intricate coils of discourse
that intellectualize the simplest feelings.
I am done with his snaky reelings.
His conversation is like driving up the tortuous roads
to his favorite resort every weekend.
Even our casual meetings are serpentine
taking me evenings to decipher their meanings,
every linguistic meandering, a nauseating peeling
of a blister whose bubble has burst
but keeps on renewing its serum.
