Becky’s Lost Beach Chair

So Becky
had a beach chair
she left on the
beach overnight
and when she came
back to
the beach the next
day around
late afternoon wearing a
bikini and
a sun visor all
in bright
colors she declared
almost
immediately “my
beach chair’s not here,
my beach
chair was stolen, oh
no my
chair was taken” her
group of
friends beach chairs
sitting
in a
circle declared “what,
how
did that
how could that have
happened?” Becky
replied that it was
Roger “Roger,
he took my chair,
he’s troubled
you know he’s an
alcoholic” and
exactly what this poetry
book needed
a stolen beach chair
by an alcoholic true story
that
really happened
on the beach right
beside us
of course
Becky and Roger will
not ever get to read
this poem
until he returns her
beach chair, like
pronto
