you come with me with orange flames
raging in your eyes,
screeching all lives matter and blue lives matter;
and you treat me as if i am an idiot
with your snide remarks
like i’m some foolish child that you have
to rebuke

better watch your tone because i will turn those
flames against you,
i will shatter your white tears and break your white
fragility;
and the chains that you have around the arms
of my black family, friends, and creatives who touch my life
with their anthems—

i am done playing nice
with white people,
you didn’t respect me when i peacefully protested;
so i am about to set your rage on fire
i want peace but you want to war with everyone
who doesn’t look like you
thinking that your whiteness makes you immortal and you cannot crack
i will show you that you are not gods.
