you thought i’d linger
in the funeral parlor
mourning the death of us

truthfully i did
for an embarrassingly long
period of time before
i collected myself up the ground,
and realized that this ending
was the beginning i needed to be who
i truly am:
magical, powerful, immortal
rising always from the ashes of chaos—

you thought you could take
down the daughter
of a god?

what fool must you be?!

my father is the bringer of chaos,
and you will never escape
the wilds of my chaos and scorn;

i am loki’s daughter
will bring to you nothing but mayhem
for all the ways you cursed me and my heart
that did nothing more than love you—

& you will find that the hate you gave
was a burden when i return it to you.
