This time there’s goats on the lawn.
A possible selling point for those so
enamoured with farm animals.

Seven statues of Mary christen the
goat festival. Last time, a veggie farm
sprawled through the vertical. The gal

with the purple sombrero set up a stand
selling her squash with a smile and her
southern charm. Years before that it

was stoic, barely a bird or a butterfly
emitted a peep from the place. The grass
was anemic, no lights at Christmas time.

I think there were dubious doings there.
That blue and white sign is stamping the

grass again with its ‘calling all buyers’
motif. Each time the willow weeps over
the patio. It’s green and it’s glorious.
