Does this world want me?

The true me,
The male me,
The soft me,

The me that questions and challenges the confines of these:
Gender roles,
Expectations,
And Realities.

Can I be me?
Forced down by myself even when no one is watching.

‘I’ stands for insecure–
The true definition of Adam–
Ironic homage to my namesake...
But feel shame by the same background for the fact I feel I need a man, not a woman, for company.

My female body,
An exhausted, weeping temple,
I will no longer choose to hide in.

I want me.
The soft me,
The male me,
The true me.

What does it matter then,
Whether or not the world wants the real me?
