Anger Oozing

Bedsore become wound is anger oozing
from bone to horrid gangrenous sore;
Mother still can’t express her rage

at venomous poison opened door
to unsaid emotions, umbrage.
Is silence that speaks healing beginning

in spite of or because of age?
When she entered Room 9, bird was pecking
at her window to urge her restore

communication son kept denying.
Though invalid, she is still sage
to ask why she was removed from shore:

her own home paid with hard-earned wage.
Was my company such dreaded chore?
Why did you break your promise by pushing

me into group home then hospice floor?
Her POA looks down, answers nothing.
She was wrong to think him a mage.

Bedsore become wound is anger oozing

but, Mother now can express rage.
