Mother had aide, assistant, housekeeper—
young hands to help bones that were weary.
Tired brother had a companion.

Price wasn’t cheap, but they all seemed free.
Caretaker didn’t scream, “I’m done.”
He was relaxed with his steady worker

whose presence ignited spark like sun.
She bathed Mom in between vacuum sweeper;
and, all appeared content, less teary.

But, do separate emotions run deeper
to prove division in union?
Aging brother was almost bleary,

chatting with Lolita Someone
while crone watched scene truly eerie
when sister flew in, objective peeper.

For sure, new woman was company
to harried brother, ardent admirer.
All relationships peel onion!
