I have no fear of Death but how or when
still linger in thoughts: strange mysteries
like fatal car collision or

overturned kayak drowned at sea.
Crimes of homicide leave scars
(in reflection) more than suicide brain.

What an old parent has in store
when POA caretaker pushes wren
into grade C group home frightens me;

especially, when one professed to be friend,
promised he’d never give up chore.
Our mother won’t feel nursing home squeeze!

She died in six weeks from bedsore,
(three weeks untreated) before wound seized
body became poisoned by gangrene.

This is boy logic causes dis-ease;
I ponder unsuspecting victim’s pain:
Mom shoved out of her home before locked door.

I’ve no fear of dying but how or when!
Why others hasten death makes me cry.
Are they empty of heart at core?
