She knew now how everything could be art
to nurture Beauty, evolving Truth.

Dance, music, literature, painting are start:
higher aesthetics for long in tooth;
but, even Shakespeare appealed more to the poor.

Anything done with concern can soothe
or stimulate child in adult: theatre
that merges into whole, fragmented parts

like Gospel, according to Paul, Mark, Peter(?)
for purpose of uniting the moot
with delicious irony of sweet tart.

Of course, there’s entertainment uncouth
like putting apples before horseless cart.
Yet, if we can empathize with all others,

we may develop compassionate heart
to recognize diversity of feathers—
birds, flesh, petals before ashes, soot.
