All the poor woman wanted was an orange.
Finally turned on side due to bed sores,
she begged for five days without luck.

“She’ll have at snack time,” said Director,
two days after son passed the buck.
Couldn’t he or someone have peeled the orange

that day Mom was dying to suck
just juicy, luscious vitamin C orange?
First-born’s second call opened wrong door.

Now, calls are restricted because of orange.
No one believes Mom sitting duck,
complaining about pain through her pores.

In bed, she is immobile puck
while players promise less, never more.
I want home, because here I can’t have orange!

”Until you walk, you’ll fall flat on floor,”
POA says, forgetting about orange.
He taunts, You can’t ever leave here.
She thinks, I’m stuck!
