Who knows what’s best for anyone, do you
or I/eye, thousands of miles away
when Mother’s gravely ill,

no fault of her own but food on tray;
patient drugged hourly with pills
for pain of bedsore out of someone’s view?

Again, she’s moved, not of free will
to wound center; is Serenity blue
or yellow because of pain-games played?

At 83, there’s still something to do
beyond praying for the deer kill.
What about physical therapy

so she can stand in front of sill,
not be flipped on left side of inveigh?
Maybe answer is 24/7 crew

to tackle bullet wound as we pray
for our weak Mother to sit up anew
then use her walker with strong will.
