I understand the pain in your back, knees.
I empathize with fragmented soul
as well our human tentacles.

We are all full-grown, no longer foals.
I’ve been good to you, not a bull.
I’ve flown to your side, said Thank You and Please!

I too abhor much push and pull;
some minds and bones are too fragile for squeeze.
Browbeating has never been my goal.

I’m aware our pod swells with unique peas.
I know there are some of us mull
over the equality of roles.

Loving is not easy or dull.
But, I never shattered handmade bowl.
Instead, I have bent backwards to appease.

And, I’ve little faith in a straw poll;
for I remember you’re Queen of the bees.
Feuding is just spectacle.
