If we are souls with bodies, does mind choose
when to shed ephemeral flesh or Fate,
beyond human will and reason, a date

returning to Great Unconscious to lose
preoccupation with sooner or late
mortal issues sundered from higher plan?

Is every life just a flash in the pan,
predetermined or measured on small plate
each being uses for limited time

until same dish no longer satisfies?
Does man or Divine Feminine need rhyme
after the monotony of real lies?

Are we guided above, away from grime?
Does spirit reach apex of Everest rise,
assured there’s no other mountain to climb?

When anxious bones weary of futile sigh,
do we join dance of invisible mime?
Can our love ever remain both here and there,

content with far vision still bent on care?
